Community Impact

This page is written for the people who fund youth sport. Here is what the club measures, what we will publish, and where to verify every claim we make.

By the numbers

Where We Stand

8

Sessions per week

The rest of this block is deliberately empty. The club is in its first season, and we publish numbers when they are real, not before. First-season enrolment, KidSport-supported athletes, volunteer hours, and retention will appear here as the season completes.

A funder reading this page next year should be able to compare it against this year. That is the standard we are building toward.

Outcomes

What We Measure and Why

A boxing club can prove its impact the same way it trains: consistently, honestly, and on the record. Four measures anchor our reporting.

Attendance

Kids vote with their feet. We track attendance by session and by stream, because a program a kid keeps coming back to is a program that is working.

Retention

The number we care about most. How many athletes who start a season finish it, and how many come back the next one.

School engagement signals

What families and referring schools tell us, with consent, about how an athlete is doing outside the gym. We report patterns, never individual kids.

Referrals

How many young people reach the club through schools and community organizations, and what happens after they arrive.

The case for why these outcomes matter, and how the sport builds them, is on our Why Boxing page.

The referral pathway

How Kids Reach Us

Most families find us the usual way: a friend, a poster, a search. But some of the young people who stand to gain the most from this club will never arrive on their own. They arrive because a teacher, a school counsellor, or a community worker knows them and knows us.

That pathway exists today. Schools and community organizations in Moose Jaw can refer a young person directly to the club through our Community Youth Program, which removes cost and equipment barriers so a referral turns into an athlete, not a waitlist entry.
