Privacy and Photography
No ad tracking, no analytics, no surprises. This page explains what information our website collects, what we do with it, and the rules we follow before any image of a young athlete is published.
Plain language
The short version
- We collect only what you type into our forms. Nothing more.
- We use it to reply to you and to get your athlete started. Then it stays between us. We never sell or trade your information.
- No ad tracking and no analytics on this site. That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.
- No image of an athlete under 18 is published without signed parental consent, and that consent can be withdrawn at any time.
Forms
What our forms collect
The website has three forms, and here is exactly what each one asks for:
- Contact form: your name, your email address, and your message.
- Registration interest form: parent or guardian name, email, phone number, your athlete's first name and age, the program you are interested in, how you heard about us, and an optional message.
- Volunteer form: your name, your email address, an optional phone number, the area you want to help with, and a message about yourself.
We use this information to answer your question, book your free trial, and get your athlete registered. That is the whole list. Submissions are seen only by the club people who need them, and we delete them once they are no longer needed.
Our website is hosted by Netlify, and Netlify processes form submissions on our behalf. When you press send, your submission is stored in our Netlify account and forwarded to the club by email. Netlify is our service provider and does not use your information for its own purposes.
The website never asks for payment details, health information, or ID numbers. Waivers and registration paperwork are completed in person at the gym.
What we do not do
No tracking
This site runs no analytics and no advertising trackers. No Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, no marketing cookies, no third-party scripts watching where you click.
Our host keeps the routine technical logs any website needs to stay online, and that is it. If we ever add a privacy-respecting visitor counter, we will say so on this page first.
Kids and cameras
Photography and media policy
Photos are part of club life. Kids love seeing themselves land a clean jab. These rules make sure every image is published safely, and only with permission.
Written consent comes first
No photo or video of an athlete under 18 is published anywhere (our website, our social media, print materials, or reports to funders) until a parent or guardian has signed a media release for that athlete. No signed release, no published image. It is that simple.
Consent can be withdrawn at any time
Changed your mind? Email us at info@mjboxing.ca or tell any coach or board member, and we will remove your athlete's images from the website and our social accounts promptly. No questions, no awkwardness, and it never affects your athlete's place at the club.
Names stay protected
We never publish a minor's full name paired with details that identify where to find them. Captions use first names at most, and we do not tag minors' personal accounts.
Where cameras are welcome, and where they are not
Training and event photos are fair game once consent is on file. Change areas and weigh-ins are off limits for cameras, always. Club photos are published through club accounts, not personal pages.
Media release form
Download the media release form (PDF). Paper copies are available at the gym any time, and the form is part of the registration package.
Talk to us
Questions, corrections, removals
Want to know what information we hold about your family, correct it, or have it deleted? Email info@mjboxing.ca and we will sort it out. The same address handles photo consent withdrawals. You can also talk to any board member at the gym.
These photography rules are one piece of how we protect athletes. The full picture (screening, training environment rules, and the reporting pathway) is on our Safe Sport page.
