Volunteer
This club runs on volunteers. Coaches, board members, event crews, and fundraisers all give their time so every kid in Moose Jaw gets a corner. Here is where we need help, and exactly what screening involves.
Where We Need Help
Volunteer Roles
Pick the role that fits your time and your skills. We will find you a job worth doing.
-
Coaching pathway
Work the floor alongside our coaches and start the NCCP coaching pathway. No boxing background required to begin. The club supports you through the courses and certifications step by step.
-
Event volunteers
Help run club shows, tournaments, and community events. Setup, timekeeping, the door, the canteen, teardown. A few hours on an event day makes a real difference.
-
Board and committees
Bring your skills to the volunteer board that governs the club, or join a committee without a board seat. The board is actively recruiting a Treasurer and directors right now.
-
Fundraising
Plan and run the fundraisers that keep fees low and kids in the ring. Ideas, organizing, and hands on the day are all welcome.
Before You Start
Screening, Stated Plainly
Any volunteer role that works directly with kids is a position of trust. Those roles require a current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector screening and Respect in Sport training before you start; coaches also complete Safe Sport training. No exceptions, including for people we have known for years.
None of it is complicated, and you do not have to figure it out alone. The club walks every volunteer through all of it: what to request, where to go, and what it costs. Event-day and fundraising help usually does not need screening, and we will tell you exactly what your role requires when you get in touch.
